Founded by a migration agent who made the move himself, we combine migration advice, job placement, and integration support under one friendly roof. That’s visas, jobs and life done right.
Our story
An immigration and employment agency created by people who have gone through the process themselves
At GoGetter, we like to think of our origin story as our super-power. While most migration agencies are started by HR professionals or legal experts, ours grew out of experience. A not-so-great one, actually. Think of it like, we got the worst of it, so we could give you the best.
Just ask our Founder, Yuya Ueda. In 2015, he decided to migrate from Japan to Australia to provide a better life for his family. The path was anything but smooth. It cost him years working in cafe kitchens for unscrupulous employers.
That’s what happens when you use an inexperienced agent who tells you the only way to get a visa is to abandon your corporate career and become a chef, hairdresser, or car mechanic.
On the bright side, long days chopping and cooking became the inspiration for Yuya’s passion project: to start an immigration agency that helps foreign professionals avoid a situation like his. A place that provides advice on how to relocate without giving up on what you do and who you are.
After studying Australian Migration Law, Yuya made good on his dream, and GoGetter was created.
Now we’re here to do things differently. We’re proving that to start over, you don’t have to start from scratch. Just continue and carry on in a better place.
And we don’t just sort out visas; Yuya and the team are experts in consulting to businesses all over Western Australia, fulfilling talent gaps in sectors including mining, engineering, medicine and education.
